Let the Kids Laugh

(I) "want to share a concept while it is fresh in my mind. it's about making children laugh, something i practice with my son throughout our days. it is special to be able to make a child laugh their "a" off with simple laughs & looks. perhaps categorized as nonsense acts, nevertheless, extremely effective & purposeful. i enjoy making Alex laugh so hard that there is nothing else in that moment but utter pleasure. repeating this is like dosing him with vitamins. ususally, i find that he must be sitting or laying down, if not, he'll fall down. one time, we were in a pool & i had to grab him before he slipped in a fit of stomach achin' laughter. Alex's smile makes his face shine even more & the practice of making him laugh is so essential for growth & development & also, importantly, healing (actually the list goes on & on [ like my run-on sentence] ). Alexander's laughter is only one aspect of the actual bigger picture. it is only one of the vitamins that he needs to be who he will become; ultimately, a strong & well-rounded man. this is my responsibility. this is my pleasure & purpose as a mother. moreover, preparing Alex to the best of my ability is an effort to benefit his children & all future generations. i think the effort must be made to push the people around us up so that they may grow. i am trying to do my part to make our worlds a better place. one where we do not settle for less. one where we continue to strive as individuals & as a whole. do i believe one person can make a difference? ha-definitely! if we take the tid-bits of what we are learning & what we feel is right, pursue & believe them= we succeed. happiness & laughter are awesome keys. keys on the same ring as love, life, learning.......you know that circle. it is whole. it is complete. think on the circle today. happy valentine's day! love, "
