Near Death Experiences
There have been thousands of reported and described "Near Death Experiences". They would more accurately be described as "Dead but returned to life Experiences" because medically these people were all "Dead" but were granted to return to life. These occurrences are more common now due to modern resuscitation techniques, and I think it's important to notice the common factors almost all such people experience, and more importantly- what it indicates.
1) They are medically dead.
2) They have an "out of body" experience where they are in a spirit form or body and usually see their previous physical body they are leaving, (and any negative preexisting physical condition has no effect on their spiritual body or faculties).
3) Their life does NOT end. They continue or move on to a new place.
4) One of two things happen next (After their hearts have stopped):
a. They are drawn into a tunnel of light towards a beautiful place and hear singing etc. and feel great love (and do not care to come back to here in comparison).
b. They experience an incredible darkness, feel coldness and hear screams of torment etc. and see horrible things. (Time ceases to exist in both cases- they have entered a timeless eternity).
5) When they return they are forever completely changed people in their values, attitudes and spirituality.
Indications and conclusions.
These documented and testified experiences are too numerous to be discounted.
For one 1) They indicate a definite life after death totally independent of what has happened to their body. (Blind people see for the first time when they are out of their body- video below).
2) There are two places of destination often described and opposite in nature- comparable to going to heaven or hell. They also see a review of their lives and realize the judgment had already been determined before their death- and without their input (however in these "near death experiences" (which though there have been many they are still few and far between compared to most- who never return from their preappointed destinations.) these people are granted the opportunity to return.
a. How or why would anyone, realizing that there is more then likely an eternity coming after this life, want to take the chance of risking their eternity, which they KNOW has NO end- over a life which they KNOW WILL end?!
b. Jesus Christ is the most plausible salvation and atonement (Someone that rose again from the dead and promised all those who would believe and have faith in Him, He would bring into heaven).
c. Despite of all the debate and theories about life after death-What if it's true after all and you didn't make it to heaven?
Friend, This is a chance I am no longer willing to take (Risking eternity). I pray and will do my best to never sin again by God's grace, and do all I can to show love and appreciate the blessings God has given me for the rest of my life- that I may have assurance of being received into that beautiful place when this life is over. How about you?

Post Script: My brother Daniel works for undertakers picking up deceased. On rare occasions he sees something undeniable to him- an expression on a face, (of a person who had previously been in no pain or on no medication- and before an undertaker as changed it), an expression, fixed, even frozen on the dead person's face of no doubt one who is going into and facing the most horrible thing one could ever imagine. (Many undertakers have witnessed these) These people could have been seeing nothing less than Hell coming right at them!

Bible verses to consider so you will know what to expect when it's "Your time".
"For if you live after the flesh you will die, but if through the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live". Rom.8:13 ("Death" is actually not physical but eternal total separation from God).
"Those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires" Gal.5:24
"If anyone will cleanse himself from these, he will be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and fit for the master's use". II Tim 2:21
"And such were some of you" (Dead in trespasses and sin) "But you are washed, you are sanctified, you are justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of God". I Cor. 6:11 (Let's endeavor to put as much time between the "were" and the "are" as by God's grace we can before we meet Him.)
"Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy". Jude 1:24
